  • In-school workshops last 45-55 minutes.
  • 25-30 children maximum.
  • Same workshop can be repeated with different groups during same day.
  • Ideal for elementary and middle school, but high school options are available.

An exploration of Newton’s fundamental ideas about force and motion.

Categorizing Life

An introduction to the Five Kingdoms of Life.

Food Chains & Food Webs

An exploration of how energy flows through an ecosystem and the inter-relationships between producers, consumers, decomposers and the sun.

Energy

What is energy and how does it flow?

Vertebrates & Invertebrates

An introductory overview of animals – those without backbones and those with backbones!

Periodic Table

What is an element? An atom? What are they made of? What does the periodic table represent. An introduction to basic chemistry.

Drawbots

(additional materials fee applies) Take a motor, a battery, a marker and recycled objects and create a scribbling machine.

DNA

An introduction to genetics.

Strength through Form

An introduction to structural engineering and how buildings and bridges are made.

Urban Naturalist Field Adventure

An exploration of a local park or the Hudson River to study ecology and the flora and fauna that live there.
